How to go online:

 

First u click on the "General options"button.

Then u will get a popupwindows.On the left on top stands "Connect" Click here

 

Now you will see this:

 

Now we have to put a IRC server in it click on the right site on the button Add (alt - a)

now you get another popup windows

 

 

By Description you enter a name example:icqchat

By IRC Server you enter this:ircqnet.icq.com

Port is already filles in and group en password is not important.

 

 

Now you click the button Add (or alt-a)

 

We have to fill in who i am

 

We take as example:   chatter  with the email adress chat@chatter.nl

 

Full name: Chatter

Email Adress: chat@chatter.nl

Nick Name: Chatter

Alternative: Chatter2

Invisible must be on

 

 

at Fullname you can type anything you want,when ppl (people) gonna do /whois at you

they see this name

 

at Email Adress you can type also anything

 

by Nickname you must type a name you want to be seeing with.You can not use spaces and signs

except the [ ] or { } or ^  So you can make your nick also {[^Chatter^]} if you want

 

when your nickname already excist he automatic will get the Alternative nickname!!

 

Now click on the OK button

 

Now go with the mouse at the THUNDERSTRIKE at the left under files.click here once

 

in a few seconds you are online,when you wanna join for example Europewest type:

/join #ICQ_Europewest   or use the channels folder (see prev.page)
